Activities
Every month we send out a newsletter with a calendar of planned activities for our members. Most of the weekly activities are free or inexpensive. The activities are entertaining for children but are also a way to meet other club moms. New ideas and suggestions are always welcome- so tell us your favorite thing to do with your kids in the Duluth GA area! See below for a sample list of activities we plan on a monthly basis. Children are welcome at all activities (except for monthly MOMS only events). You choose what activities you and your child(ren) participate in. Your level of participation may vary week to week, month to month – there is no obligation or commitment required.
Playgroups Our playgroups provide a "small group environment" for you and your child. Playgroups allow your child to interact with consistent playmates of a similar age. Moms can also nurture friendships through regular contact with the other playgroup moms. Each playgroup usually has between 5 and 8 children. You will be assigned to a playgroup based on your child's age, so you may be a part of multiple groups if you have multiple children. Our playgroups meet occasionally and these activities are in addition to the monthly MOMS Club® calendar. MOMS Night Out (MNO) Moms Night Out (MNO) activities are designed for Moms only. We leave the children at home and celebrate the amazing women we are outside of motherhood! There is one MNO event scheduled every month. Examples of past events include: Paint Your Own Pottery, Wine Tasting, Dinner Out, Karaoke. Community Service Projects The MOMS Club is about supporting moms, but not just our members. A portion of the membership dues goes to support local charity outreach projects. The Community Service projects are decided upon by our members. These projects are focused on issues that are close to a mother’s heart: school supply drives, foster children backpacks, NICU blankets and more. In addition, our club supports the MOM to MOM fund which is the international MOMS Club organization’s charity. This fund helps chapters who have been affected by natural disasters or other circumstances. |
